If so, we invite you to join the Amethyst Society, a distinguished group of recurring donors dedicated to supporting the mission of the Sigma Lambda Gamma Education Foundation. Support levels start at $25/month and you can stop or pause at anytime.

Since its founding in 2010, the Amethyst Society has played a pivotal role in advancing the mission of the Foundation, which has created scholarships and endowments that provide access to education for deserving students and empower educators who shape the minds of future leaders.
By becoming a recurring donor, you contribute to two enduring scholarships—the Mary Peterson Scholarship for undergraduate students and the Esther Materon-Arum Scholarship for graduate students. These scholarships have made education more accessible for countless Gammas, offering them the opportunity to build a brighter future.
Your support will also help to fund our Julieta Maria Miller-Calderon EmpowerED Fund for Educators, an initiative that focuses on empowering educators and enhancing the field of education. With your ongoing contribution, you’ll be helping to extend our reach and make a meaningful difference in the lives of both students and educators across the nation.

Join the External Grants Committee!
The Grants Committee is responsible for reviewing, evaluating, and recommending funding for initiatives that align with the Sigma Lambda Gamma Education Foundation’s mission to support the academic and leadership development of members and communities. This committee ensures grant applications are assessed fairly and transparently, develops selection criteria, and monitors the impact of awarded funds. Members work collaboratively to advance equitable access to education and opportunity through strategic philanthropy.
No prior grant experience is required — we are happy to provide training for those passionate about making a difference. The time commitment includes quarterly meetings throughout the calendar year.

Interested in hosting an event and supporting the Education Foundation? Need a 501c3 co-host organization? Consider, submitting an events and sales request.
*All events and product sales where a proceed of sales goes back to the SLGEF requires pre-approval prior to the event or sale.
Please fill out this form one week before your event or sales date for review and approval by the SLGEF Board of Trustees.

THE EDUCATION FOUNDATION
