MARY PETERSON SCHOLARSHIP (UNDERGRADUATE)

A merit-based scholarships awarded to undergraduate Sigma Lambda Gamma members of at least sophomore standing with a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.00/4.00 scale. Proof of enrollment in a 2026-2027 undergraduate program is required prior to funds being released. Learn More.

ESTHER MATERON ARUM SCHOLARSHIP (GRADUATE)

A merit-based scholarship awarded to Sigma Lambda Gamma alumnae members who have successfully graduated from an accredited undergraduate institution with a bachelor’s degree and have been accepted to begin study or are currently engaged in a graduate program with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50/4.00 scale. If an alumnae member is starting a graduate program, the undergraduate minimum cumulative GPA must be 3.00/4.00 scale. SIX BOOKS SCHOLARSHIP (UNDERGRADUATE AND GRADUATE)

A need-based scholarship that is intended to encourage educational attainment with a holistic view of the nature of being a student. This scholarship will be for any academic-related expense to help undergraduate or graduate members defray the overlooked costs associated with academic success. FRESHMAN SCHOLARSHIP (INCOMING UNDERGRADUATE)

Open to any student, enrolled in an accredited degree-granting institution as a degree-seeking incoming freshman/first-year student during the 2026-2027 academic year. A need-based scholarship that is intended to encourage educational attainment with a holistic view of the nature of being a student. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT GRANT (ALUMNI)

A grant that provides support for individual professional development for alumni members of Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority, Inc. The Grant will support participation in a professional development meeting, seminar, certification or licensure or conference of a professional association related to their career objective. Participation can include presentation of scholarly work, active participation in a poster session, an annual conference, seminar for certification, webinars for licensure or materials for continued learning. ENTITY GRANT

The Entity Grant provides support for active entities of Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority, Inc. in their efforts to host quality programs and events that promote their Mission, Vision, and Purpose. Grants are allocated for events and programs that are hosted during the Spring semester.

What if I am not a student in the United States? Can I still apply?

Currently, our awards and grants are US based and you will need to be enrolled into a United States accredited institution.

What do I need in a recommendation letter?


Your resume should be submitted as a pdf or word document that showcases your education, experience, skills and extracurriculars.

What should be in a resume?


Most uploads will accept a doc, docx or pdf only. If the submission is a proof of enrollment, a png and jpeg will also be allowed. Ensure if uploading a png or jpeg that is clear, readable and can be zoomed into and maintain clarity.

What type of files can I upload?


What happens if my application is incomplete? Will it still be reviewed?
