April 2026 Updates
April is a special month for Sigma Lambda Gamma as we celebrate Founders Day and take a moment to reflect on where we started and how far we’ve come. This is a time to honor the women who built this organization with intention, creating a space centered on empowerment, cultural awareness, and real sisterhood. Their vision still shows up in the way we support each other, grow together, and move through the world with purpose.
It’s also a chance to check in with how you’re showing up in sisterhood right now. That might look like mentoring, reaching out, prioritizing your own wellness, or continuing to grow personally and professionally. However it shows up, it all contributes to carrying the mission forward.

Congratulations, Dr. Susana Muñoz!
Big congratulations to Dr. Susana Muñoz, associate professor and leader of equity initiatives and faculty development in the School of Education!
She was recently inducted into the ACPA–College Student Educators International Diamond Honoree program, a recognition reserved for individuals who have made sustained, meaningful contributions to higher education and student affairs.
This honor highlights her lasting impact on the student experience and the field as a whole!
