MARY L. PETERSON SCHOLARSHIPScholarships will be awarded to one undergraduate Sigma Lambda Gamma member of at least sophomore standing with a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.00/4.00 scale. Proof of enrollment in a 2026-2027 undergraduate program is required prior to funds being released. One award of $1,000 will be given directly to the recipient's university financial aid/bursar's office.
ESTHER MATERON-ARUM SCHOLARSHIPScholarship will be awarded to a Sigma Lambda Gamma member who has successfully graduated from an accredited undergraduate institution with a bachelor’s degree and has been accepted to begin study or is currently engaged in a graduate program with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50/4.00 scale. If a member is starting a graduate program, the undergraduate minimum cumulative GPA must be 3.00/4.00 scale. Proof of enrollment into a 2026-2027 graduate program is required prior to funds being released. One award of $1,000 will be given directly to the recipient's university financial aid/bursar's office.
SIX BOOKS SCHOLARSHIP
The Six Books Scholarship is intended to encourage educational attainment with a holistic view of the nature of being a student. This scholarship will be for any academic-related expense to help members defray the overlooked costs associated with academic success. This scholarship will be awarded to an undergraduate or graduate member of Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority, Inc with a GPA of 2.6+. Proof of enrollment into a 2026-2027 undergraduate or graduate program is required prior to funds being released. Two awards of $250 will be given.
Covered Expenses:
Expenses that may be covered by the scholarship include, but are not limited to:
School supplies
Textbook costs
Public transportation passes for commuting to campus
On-campus meal plans
FRESHMAN SCHOLARSHIP
The Freshman Scholarship will be for any academic-related expense to help members defray the overlooked costs associated with academic success. This scholarship will be awarded to an undergraduate student who is starting their first year at university. Proof of enrollment into a 2026-2027 undergraduate or graduate program is required prior to funds being released. Two awards of $250 will be given.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT GRANT
The Professional Development Grant provides support for individual professional development for alumni members of Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority, Inc. This fund is intended to encourage professional development and networking through attendance or active participation with academic or professional meetings or conferences by helping members defray the costs associated with these activities. Awards are allocated on a rolling basis until all funds are distributed.
Eligibility:
All alumni members of Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority, Inc are eligible to submit proposals. The Grant will support participation in a meeting or conference of a professional association related to their career objective. Participation can include presentation of scholarly work, or active participation in a poster session, annual conference, or career expo.

Expenses that may be covered by the fund include:
Association membership
Conference fees at the early bird rate
Presentation materials
